Cos Sakkas created tapering long plaits for the Todd Lynn Spring/Summer 2013 show at London Fashion Week.
Show: Todd Lynn
Stylist: Cos Sakkas for TONI&GUY
Inspiration: A wealthy woman on safari, who has been in the outback for a few days and now has slightly dishevelled hair. Inspirations for the collection included Heart of Darkness, Out of Africa and Apocalypse Now.
The look: An exaggerated long tapering plait with a slight colour change through the lengths.
Get the look: Hair was prepped with volume mousse and blow-dried smoothly using a dressing brush to create a smooth finish, with hair parted on the side.
Once dry, hair was divided into a horizontal section at around ear-level and a 22" weft of straight hair was added in a colour a couple of shades lighter than the model's natural hair colour to give the effect of being bleached by the sun slightly.
Hair was then brushed into a low ponytail and secured with elastic, with a band of hair to cover.
Hair was then prepped with Resurrection Dust and Matte Paste then divided into three even pieces - even right through, so that the extensions were equally divided - then plaited into a tapering long braid.
The plait was kept clean and tight and once secured at the end, was backcombed slightly to create contrast.
