London fashion week spring/summer 2013: mikhael kale

Lyndell Mansfield created windswept hair for the Mikhael Kale Spring/Summer 2013 show at London Fashion Week.


Show: Mikhael Kale


Stylist: Lyndell Mansfield for Bumble and bumble


Inspiration: "Hair with air" - textured updos that make the models look as though they are standing in a wind tunnel. 


As the show was a static presentation, Lyndell wanted the hair to look as though it was moving.


The look: A textured updo, full of volume and movement.


Get the look: A combination of Surf Spray and Thickening Spray were massaged into the hair to add texture and movement.


A small amount of Texture Creme was added - a small amount at a time to build up slowly without becoming sticky - and scrunched through.


An inch of hair around the perimeter and hairline were separated, with the rest of the hair pulled into a handful and "pushed, twisted and screwed" into a "messy handful of hair" which was clamped in place with long grips.


The rest of the hair was then blasted around with a hairdryer and Spray de Mode to create fluffy texture.
