London fashion week spring/summer 2013: markus lupfer

Alex Brownsell created glittering ponytails for the Markus Lupfer Spring/Summer 2013 show at London Fashion Week.

The inspiration: An ethereal mermaid.

The look: A moulded 'fin' shaped ponytail with faux fish scales and lots of glitter.

All of the models had blonde hair in keeping with the ethereal theme.

Get the look: Hair was worn with dishevelled texture on top, coaxed into waves at the top of the head only with the rest then puled back into a low ponytail.

The lengths of the ponytail were then moulded into a fin shape using lots of flexible hold Spray de Mode.

For added wow factor - and because Alex predicts that metallic hair will be a big trend for spring - silver glitter was added using Shine Spray for a mirror-like finish.

More Spray de Mode was used to hold it all in place.
