Indira Schauwecker created exposed plaits for the Jean-Pierre Braganza Spring/Summer 2013 show at London Fashion Week.
Show: Jean-Pierre Braganza
Stylist:
HJ's 2012 Avant Garde Hairdresser of the Year, Indira Schauwecker for TONI&GUY.
Inspiration: Swiss surrealist artist,
Hans Giger - a typically sci-fi influence for Jean-Pierre Braganza.
The look: Exposed layered plaits, reflecting the exposed bones in Hans Giger's work.
Get the look: Hair was prepped with label.m Extra Strong Mousse, with the central surface smoothed over using the label.m Wax Stick.
Taking a dead centre parting, a small section is then plaited using a scalp plaiting technique from root to tip, creating a central spine-like shape, applying a liberal coating of label.m Hold and Gloss Spray after fastening.
The remaining hair is then plaited over the top of the existing plait from the mid-lengths to ends, using a French plaiting technique - leaving out small sections of hair at the front for a gentle dishevelled finish.
Finally, the exterior plait is loosened with fingers, using label.m Hair Spray for a natural looking finish.
Key products: label.m Extra Strong Mousse, Wax Stick, Hold and Gloss Spray
