Luke Hersheson and the L'Oréal Professionnel team created glamorously tough styles for the Spring/Summer 2012 Louise Gray collection at London Fashion Week.

Inspiration: A variety of colourful inspirations included old pictures of Kate Moss in Versace adverts, Nenah Cherry's Raw Like Sushi album cover, Kylie's Locomotion video and Joan Collins in Dynasty.

Get the look: The glamorously tough look was created by setting hair on U-shaped pins to form a figure eight shape which was then sprayed with L'Oréal Professionnel tecni.art Air Fix Firm Hold Spray and clamped between hot irons.

Once set, the pins were removed and hair was piled on top of the head to form a shape inspired by Joan Collins's voluminous updos. Loose tendrils were pulled out and the whole look was sprayed with almost an entire can of hairspray per model
