London fashion week autumn/winter 2013: sister by sibling

Syd Hayes created rick-racked volume for the Sister by Sibling Autumn/Winter 2013 show at London Fashion Week.

Stylist: Syd Hayes for Bumble and bumble
The inspiration: A Richard Avedon portrait of a woman with a large afro.
The look: An explosion of rick-racked volume at the back of the head.
Get the look: Hair was prepped with Bumble and bumble Thickening Hairspray and Surf Spray then blow-dried.
Hair was then wrapped around pins in a rick-rack technique to create a tight curl. With pins still in, hair was misted with Spray de Mode and set with irons.
Pins were then removed and hair brushed out to create an afro effect.
