London fashion week autumn/winter 2013: simone rocha

Show: Simone Rocha
Stylist: James Pecis for Bumble and bumble
The inspiration: An extension of last season's Simone Rocha girl - a hint of inspiration from Simone's two grandmothers but not too ladylike.
The look: A textured, woven braid
Get the look: The front section of hair was prepped with Bumble and bumble Holding Spray and blow-dried in, using an additional layer if hair was particularly fine or soft.
Hair was then split into three sections and covered with Does it All and backcombed, clamping between irons to trap the texture in and create what James dubbed a 'beaver tail' of hair.
Extensions were then prepped in the same way, with one weft placed high on the crown falling down the back of the head and another pinned in upside down, then folded back over to create more bulk.
Using millinery elastic and a haberdashery needle, hair was then stitched in a zig-zag pattern and then pulled around to create a plaited shape but in a new way, pulling sections out to create shapes with plenty of flyaways.
Key product: Bumble and bumble Does it All, Spray de Mode, Thickening Spray, Extra Strength Holding Spray
The gossip: Not even a brief power outage could stress out James, whose backstage presence and supporting team are always impossibly cool, composed and calm.
