London fashion week autumn/winter 2013: rihanna for river island

The inspiration: Rihanna's collection was inspired by sexy 90s cool so original thoughts had been Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell with a hint of Debbie Harry, but the overall look was about model's natural, personal style and how that could be enhanced and dressed up.

The look: Varied from model to model but overall a textured wave through the mid-lengths and ends and flashes of darker colour added with extensions.

Shorter models - particularly those with afro hair - also had hair cut or shaped up as needed.

Get the look: Hair was prepped with Bumble and bumble Thickening Lotion, Prep spray, Surf Spray and Styling Lotion and blow-dried in for texture.

Hair was then styled into a low chignon and diffuse dried before being released to create cool texture.

Invisible Oil was used through dry hair to break up the wave, with Bb Shine used on afro models to add gloss.
