London fashion week autumn/winter 2013: peter pilotto

Peter Pilotto Autumn/Winter 2013-14 hairAnthony Turner created urban warriors for the Peter Pilotto Autumn/Winter 2013 show at London Fashion Week.

Show: Peter Pilotto

Stylist: Anthony Turner for L'Oréal Professionnel

The inspiration: The neoprene in the collection inspired Anthony to take a sporty angle - a ponytail being the obvious choice - but he wanted to keep the look sexy too, which inspired the wet-look finish.

The look: Wet-look ponytails with texture and raked-back fingermarks along the crown.

Get the look: Hair was wet down with a water spray and covered with Tecni.Art Pli then pulled back into a ponytail at the middle back of the head - with Pli chosen for its wet-look finish, even when hair dries.

Hair was scraped back with fingers rather than brushes or combs to create finger indents and maintain the casual feel and twine was used rather than an elastic, wrapping around several times to make the hair stick out at the back of the head by about two inches.

Mythic Oil was then rubbed into the lengths and ends to make hair look wet, with Infinium sprayed up to smooth out any flyaways around the face.

Key products: L'Oréal Professionnel Pli, Mythic Oil, Infinium

The gossip: Anthony told me he was celebrating the end of the show (and it's incredibly early start time) with a fry-up and return to bed. Lucky boy!
