Naoki Komiya created folk-inspired ponytails for the Eudon Choi Autumn/Winter 2013 show at London Fashion Week.
Show: Eudon Choi
Stylist: Naoki Komiya for Bumble and bumble
The inspiration: Russian folk was the inspiration for the clothes which were feminine and romantic.
Hair needed to be a bit harder and cooler, but still with a folk feel.
From a practical point of view, headpieces were also being used so a ponytail provided a good base.
The look: A hard, sleek, shiny centre-parted ponytail
Get the look: Hair was coated with Bumble and bumble Extra Strength Hairspray and a bit of Thickening Hairspray and blow-dried in to create a hard, flat and shiny finish hugging the head away from a clean centre parting.
More Extra Strength was used to direction hair behind the ears, curving gently into the nape of the neck and brushing through continually to prevent the spray drying out.

Hair was then secured in a low ponytail at the nape of the neck and ironed through with Bb Shine On and straighteners.,
Key products: Bumble and Bumble Extra Strength Hairspray, Thickening Hairspray, Bb Shine
The gossip: Millinery guru, Piers Atkinson, was responsible for the folky floral headpieces.
