London fashion week autumn/winter 2012: kinder aggugini

Show: Kinder Aggugini

Stylist: Malcolm Edwards for L'Oreal Professionnel

Inspiration: Nellie Oleson from Little House on the Prairie on acid.

The look: Hair was separated into three ponytails with elastics down the lengths, with the lengths then pinned to the head and sections pulled out to create knots - similar to 90s Chinese buns.

"It looks very complicated," said Malcolm, "but it's really easy to do."

Get the look: Malcolm put a side-parting into wet hair then dried in Fix Design and Construct. Hair was then divided into three sections and secured with elastics.

Elastics were then secured down the lengths of the hair to create lots of little ponytails. Each small section was pulled out to create loops. Each of the three tails was then pinned to the head at random to create a knobby, textured style.

Wispy sections were pulled out around the face just before the girls walked out.

Key products: L'Oreal Professionnel Fix Design, Constructor and Liss Control+

The gossip: Malcolm joked that as the girls had no heels to wear for the show, he was going to cause as much pain as he could with the hair!
