London fashion week autumn/winter 2012: house of holland

Show: House of Holland

Stylist: Adam Reed for BaByliss PRO

Inspiration: Barbara from The Good Life going for a bike ride down a country lane.

The look: Called 'the kink', hair was secured in a loose ponytail at the nape with a sweeping side fringe. On the side the fringe was styled, hair was worn over the ear and on the opposite side hair was tucked behind for a pretty, romantic look. The finish was also quite natural - not too glossy but not completely matte.

On the catwalk some girls wore a neat  head-hugging leather cap, with the ponytail kicking out at the back.

Get the look: Hair was prepped with texture spray and dried in with the BaByliss PRO Volare, sweeping the hair from left to right to add movement and texture.

Hair was then split into large sections with each sprayed with hairspray to add shine and to protect the hair.

Hair was then wrapped under a BaByliss PRO Conical Wand and moved up and down to add a shape dubbed 'the kick' rather than a wave or curl through the middle of the hair.

Hair was then secured in a low ponytail at the nape of the neck with a soft sweeping fringe.

Key products
BaByliss PRO Volare Hairdyrer and Tongs
Percy & Reed Texturising Spray and Firm Hold Session Hairspray.

The gossip: Rumours abounded that Rihanna would be appearing. She didn't appear in the end, but Henry can't have been too disappointed - his front row included Alexa Chung, Poppy Delevigne, Pixie Geldof, Leigh Lezark and Nick Grimshaw.
