London collections: men spring/summer 2015 - hair trends HJ’s Matthew Batham was backstage and in the front row for some of the most exciting shows at London Collections: Men spring/summer 2015. Here’s are some of the highlights of the fantastic hair looks created by talented session stylist to complement the fabulous fashion. Christopher Shannon Spring/Summer 2015 THE SHOW Christopher Shannon Spring/Summer 2015 THE HEAD STYLIST John Vial for Fudge THE INSPIRATION Bjork in her 90s heyday GET THE LOOK Longer hair was sectioned and styled into several top knots – wefts were used on shorter hair. Remaining hair was flattened tight against the head using Fudge Gum or Hair Cement, and finished with Skyscraper. Katie Eary Spring/Summer 2015 THE SHOW Katie Eary Spring/Summer 2015 THE HEAD STYLIST Tina Outen for Fudge THE INSPIRATION Modern-day cowboys GET THE LOOK Fudge Bodifying Styling Whip was applied to hair to give the front body and height, while hair at the nape and sides was flattened using Fudge Fat Head. Edges of the hair were flicked using tongs and the look was finished with Fudge Skyscraper. Craig Green Spring/Summer 2015 hair THE SHOW Craig Green Spring/Summer 2015 THE HEAD STYLIST John Vial for Fudge THE INSPIRATION Super-natural textured hair GET THE LOOK Hair was wetted down and a small amount of Fudge Liquid Erekt worked through with fingers to create natural, undone texture. The idea was to create looks that were not weighed down by product, accentuating curls and the hair’s natural movement. James Long Spring/Summer 2015 hair THE SHOW James Long Spring/Summer 2015 THE HEAD STYLIST John Vial for Fudge THE INSPIRATION A sporty Jesus that’s going to Ibiza! GET THE LOOK Blocks of colour were pre-applied using Fudge Paintbox, working closely with the designer to complement colour blocks in the collection. Wefts were applied to shorter hair and plaited then clamped. Plaits were taken out following make-up and fingers used to create natural texture and movement. Christopher Raeburn Spring/Summer 2015 THE SHOW Christopher Raeburn Spring/Summer 2015 THE HEAD STYLIST Marc Trinder, Charles Worthington Salons THE INSPIRATION Military men GET THE LOOK For the military style crop, using clippers with different guard lengths, hair was taken in tight around the hairline working up to the temples. Using a slightly longer guard the top section was buzz cut keeping the look very square. Hair was finished with a little Charles Worthington All Over Gloss Spray to add a slight sheen to the hair. Richard James Spring/Summer 2015 hair THE SHOW Richard James Spring/Summer 2015 THE HEAD STYLIST Daniel Jordan for GO247 THE INSPIRATION Desert rats after three weeks of duty – military style with gritty texture, slightly rough around the edges. GET THE LOOK GO247 Gel was mixed with Texture Paste and dried into the hair, with shape and texture created using only the fingers – no brushes or combs. The look was finished with Texture Paste, with some height created at the front of the hair. Orlebar Brown ss15 THE SHOW Orlebar Brown Spring/Summer 2015 THE HEAD STYLIST Silje Vincent for Toni & Guy THE INSPIRATION Beach-ready but groomed. GET THE LOOK Naturally straight hair was given texture and separations using fingers of brush, with Label.M Mousse applied for a lighter hold. Hair was finished with Power Paste for a non-oily shine. Agi and Sam Spring/Summer 2015 hair THE SHOW Agi and Sam Spring/Summer 2015 THE HEAD STYLISTS John Vial for Fudge  THE INSPIRATION Angst youth and 90s indie rock bands GET THE LOOK Wigs were styled into layered bowl cuts, with Skyscraper hairspray applied for a medium hold finish to allow movement. Fudge End was applied to the tips of the hair for a wet look.
