Barbara fialho discusses burning issue of velaterapia

Victoria's Secret model Barbara Fialho has revealed that she keeps her hair in shape with velaterapia - burning split ends off with a candle. In an interview with Fashionista, the Brazilian babe admitted that whenever she's home in Sao Paolo she visits Laces and Hair Salon for its signature procedure, velaterapia. The technique sees a stylist divide hair into small sections and twist it tightly. The open flame of a lit candle is then used to burn off split ends, to effectively cauterize the hair. The burning supposedly opens up the hair follicle, making it more receptive to nutrients - in turn making conditioning treatments more effective. The process takes three and a half hours and loyalists get it done about every four months.
