Liz hurley helps jo hansford celebrate 20th anniversary

Queen of colour Jo Hansford celebrated the 20th anniversary of her London salon today with the help of one of her very special clients.

Model and actress Liz Hurley unveiled a colourful window display celebrating Jo's 20 years in business. Liz, who has been one of Jo's clients for more than 15 years, presented the colour guru with an Andy Warhol-inspired print to place in the window.

Jo was awarded an MBE for her services to hairdressing in 2010 and opened her eponymous salon after working with Vidal Sassoon and Daniel Galvin, relocating to bigger premises in South Audley Street last year.

Alongside her husband and most recently with her daughter Joanna, she has built the business into one of the most prestigious colour salons in the world.

Liz, currently sporting soft caramel highlights, is just one celebrity who entrusts Jo with her hair. Others include the Duchess of York, Georgia Jagger and Angelina Jolie.

"It feels like yesterday when I first opened my doors and welcomed my first client through the doors," Jo recalls. "I've been through ups and downs, just like many of my clients who have stayed with me from day one. I find the industry as exciting now as I did at the beginning of my career and still get a thrill when I make a client look fabulous!"
