As a part of their Session to Salon education series
BaByliss PRO brought backstage to the home of fashion education, Condé Nast College of Fashion and Design, to teach budding session stylists the backstage story.

Two people that know the buzz of the backstage environment very well are Ben Hards and Sam Burnett. The two of them are session styling pros that know how to work a backstage environment like the back of their hand and led the two sessions (afternoon and evening sessions were available) with knowledge and guidance.
The atmosphere for Backstage Story was in full fashion week mode with the buzz of dryers, a DJ on deck and cameras snapping every step. Ben and Sam wanted to emphasise the importance of team work whilst backstage - it's crucial to help each other to achieve the final look quickly and super-polished.

Not only do you have to be quick working backstage you also have to be agile and react to change. Sam spoke about his backstage moments whilst he and Ben demonstrated the look the students had to create. He recalled a time that he helped create a hair look for the set of models before the designer came backstage and decided he wanted a completely different look - it took efficient team work to rework each models' hair in time for the show.
Not only did the students benefit from Ben and Sam's backstage wisdom they also went home with a goody bag with a BaByliss PRO Titanium Expression Styling Tool that they can not add to their kit bag ready for session styling!
