Lauren conrad shows off new darker hair colour

Lauren Conrad is famous for her beachy blonde locks, but at last night's VH1 Save The Music Awards, The Hills' star revealed a new darker hair colour.

And although winter doesn't get quite so cold in sunny LA, Lauren's new blondette shade is perfect for the transitional autumn/winter period. Matched with an on-trend berry lipstick, LC looks all set to take on the new season.

Lauren styled her hair in a romantic side bun, which is both flattering and suitably glamorous for this red carpet regular. The overall look feels very old school Hollywood - even though the powder blue maxi dress is from Topshop!
