The Kye Autumn/Winter 2014 show kicked off New York Fashion Week, with wet-look lengths and braids created by Matthew Curtis.
The show: Kye Autumn/Winter 2014
The hair team: Matthew Curtis creative team
The look: Fresh out of the shower wet-look, loosely textured hair with tribal braids
The inspiration: Fresh out of the shower, with plaits just to keep hair off the face
The product:Janet Collections Extensions - vital for models whose hair wasn't quite long enough
Get the look: Apply mousse and dry the hair in a centre parting. Section out and braid front hair section, spritzing with shine spray for hold.
Load the hair up with conditioner or serum to create that high-shine wet look. Use a wide-tooth comb to comb through then gently scrunch for natural texture.
HJ's NYFW correspondent Caroline Simionescu-Marin from Herra Haircare was also there to work on the team and report on the hair look.
She says: The debut show of Korean designer Kathleen Kye was at
Industria Studios in NYC. Hair was grungey, fresh-from-the-shower wet look with narrow braids on either side in the front. Clothes were sports luxe with lots of bright colours and patterns.
