Chanel gal Kristen Stewart rocks a typically edgy look in what is rumored to be the brand's latest campaign, with cornrows braided away from her face and a plaited quiff section in the model.
As a brand, Chanel have never been afraid of pushing the boundaries with hair in their shows and campaigns - check out those
dreadlocks that Sam McKnight created for the Autumn/Winter 2014 show, or the mohawks that made a statement at the
Spring 2012 couture show. One of their earlier brand ambassadors was
Alice Dellal, who proudly rocked her trademark undercut in the campaign.
And let's not forget, Coco Chanel was one of the earliest adapters of the bob; itself a controversial style in the 1920s.
Kristen is no stranger to a
cornrow and this cool-girl look is the perfect complement to the tough styling of the campaign.
The images we're seeing at the moment are thanks to a leak from a (now-suspended) account on
Instagram - let's hope we saw more official shots soon!
