Kleek Apprenticeships Keeps Growing as BL Hairdressing Joins the Kleek Family

Kleek Apprenticeships (known as Saks Education until its rebranding in 2023), the Darlington-based national provider of specialist hair and beauty apprenticeships, has announced the addition of BL Hairdressing to its family, solidifying its position as one of the UK’s leading national hair and beauty training providers.

Effective 1 January, BL Hairdressing, a long-standing provider in the North East's hair training sector, was welcomed into Kleek Apprenticeships with their academies rebranding as Kleek Academy Newcastle and Kleek Academy Stockton, alongside Kleek’s existing North East Kleek Academy (and Head Office) in Darlington. This strategic move marks another milestone in the remarkable evolution of Kleek Apprenticeships.

Building on the successful acquisition of Easi Hairdressing and the opening of Kleek Academy Colchester in October, expansion in 2023 extended support to learners and salons across the South East, Yorkshire and the North West. The addition of BL Hairdressing fortifies Kleek's ability to deliver greater academy-based training across the North East, alongside its exceptional Southern academies and the in-salon work-based training it offers across England.

Kleek's commitment to excellence and innovation positions it as the go-to choice for specialist hair and beauty training nationwide. The addition of BL Hairdressing’s apprentices and staff allows Kleek to extend its outstanding academy-based training to more salons across the region, further contributing to its mission of shaping the future of the hair and beauty industry.

"We are thrilled to welcome BL Hairdressing into the Kleek Family," said Tina Ockerby, Managing Director at Kleek Apprenticeships. “Kleek Apprenticeships has been at the forefront of hair and beauty training since it achieved its Ofsted Outstanding rating in 2006 and again in 2021, and we can’t wait to extend our salon and apprentice base as we expand our reach of quality hairdressing, barbering and beauty therapy training nationwide.”
