Ken Picton switched Cardiff for Canada when he was invited to Montreal to run a seminar for Shu Uemura Art of Hair's Canadian customers.
HJ's Current Wales and South-West Hairdresser of the Year, Ken is also an ambassador for the luxury haircare line.
Bringing to life the Shu Uemura Art of Hair Calligraphy Uprising collection, Ken hosted a two-day cutting seminar at Montreal Science Centre attended by 35 of the brand's premium clients.
Ken says: "I presented my interpretation of the Calligraphy Uprising collection, work-shopped them, taught new techniques and gave guidance on how to translate the ideas into their own collections."
Attendees were then invited to a gala dinner and champagne reception.
