Ken Picton has been announced as an education ambassador for ghd.
Ken, who owns a multi-award winning salon in Cardiff, is a member of
HJ's British Hairdressing Awards Hall of Fame after winning the title of Wales and South West Hairdresser of the Year on three occasions.
As well as running his salon and working on shoots and shows across the globe, Ken is passionate about educating and nurturing the next generation of talent and will be working with ghd on a number of projects - both in the ghd studio in London and across the UK and Ireland.
Ken says: I’m absolutely delighted to become ghd’s education ambassador. I have always been a massive fan of the brand and it’s the number one choice within my salon. Joining forces with ghd is a great opportunity and one I am relishing! I am especially looking forward to sharing my experience of running a successful salon, winning awards and bringing on new talent, plus I have some exciting plans to help bring ghd’s new product launches to life later this year."
ghd's head of education, Jo Robertson adds: “We are thrilled to welcome Ken Picton to the ghd family. His talent, experience, passion and warm, inclusive personality makes him a wonderful addition to our team and we can’t wait to get started!"
Ken will now join Sam McKnight - ghd global creative director - and Zoe Irwin and Kenna – ghd uk brand ambassadors - on ghd's creative board.
