The last time Keira Knightley was on the cover of US Vogue, it received an extremely negative reaction - the bad hair, dated outfit, and strange pose all added up to one bad front cover.

Still, the magazine still sold well - it went on to be the best-selling issue of Vogue that year!

And now Vogue UK are taking a risk with Keira on the cover too, featuring her on the January 2011 issue.

Shot by Mario Testino, Keira is wearing a polka-dot chiffon halter-neck dress by Dolce & Gabbana and a clip-on red corsage from haberdasher extraordinaire V.V. Rouleaux.

There's no sign of Keira's new bob with this swept-back style and wet-look fingerwaves at the front, but the dark lips and smoky eyes all add up to one sultry look.

Let's hope it gets a better reaction than the US cover!
