Katy perry goes red for l'officiel september 2012

Another magazine cover, another hair colour for Katy Perry! Following her long and purple look for ELLE, the pop princess opted for an organgey red shade on the cover of French fashion bible, L'Officiel.
The cover marks a dramatically new look for Katy with long, wavy locks - or perhaps a wig, more accurately - in a striking auburn shade.
With neutral makeup and a pretty peachy dress, Katy's new look has a hint of the Pre-Raphaelite about it - much softer than her usual primary-hued hair and makeup.
I think this is the first time we've seen Katy as a redhead, despite her having worn just about every other hair colour under the sun - that's discounting her accidental ginger period when she was attempting to go blonde!
All this amongst the news that Katy's ex, Russell Brand, is rumoured to be dating Ginger Spice herself, Geri Halliwell...
