Color-Trophy2.jpg Suzanne Kinane-Waltham from Killenaule in Pinchbeck has fought off competition from across the UK and Europe to win the Paul Mitchell® color challenge. The annual competition saw 400 entrants competiting to create a unique, vibrant and distinctive mannequin head that pushed the boundaries of salon hair colour using Paul Mitchell® professional hair colour products.Having won one of the six regional heats, the finalists spent an exhilarating day in London, where they enjoyed a sensational champagne flight on the London Eye and a luxury tour around the city. The hard work then began with final preparations to their creations, which were judged by the five judges from Paul Mitchell® PAC (Platform Artist Club), Three·Six·Five, Headmasters and Models 1 in the Grand Final at The Soho Hotel, London. Suzanne's Joanna Lumley inspired look caught the judges eye and won her the color challenge title plus a trip to the Paul Mitchell® A Signature Gathering in Las Vegas 2008 and $500 spending money. A thrilled Suzanne said: "I am in shock - totally gob smacked. The standard is so high that I didn’t think I would win, so I am ecstatic! "I really enjoy playing with asymmetric shapes to create classic styles with a modern twist. So for this style I combined my first ever cut - a wedge with a style that is currently the favourite in our salon - the bob! Think Joanna Lumley in The Avengers with a noughties flavour. "I love autumn and all the colour ways that appear in different lights - this is why I blended these tones. "I get such a buzz from exploring with colour that is why I adore the Paul Mitchell® products, as there are so many options”. Color Challenge Final Pictures>>
