I've done it!

I won! I have been named The Clothes Show Style Awards'Celebrity Hairdresser of the Year.

Paloma Faith and Rankin, the photographer, were also awardedgongs at the event so I was in good company. I really want to thank everyonewho voted for me. Stephen Fry did a fantastic job Tweeting away to get   people to vote for me, which wasbrilliant, as did Gok Wan and Alan Carr! And I owe a big debt of thanks to Errol Douglas who has taught me somuch and been a real inspiration to me.

 I like to think of all of my clients as celebrities, soalthough it's great doing session work I also love working in Errol Douglas'salon and my salon in Somerset. Hairdressing is just the best job in the world and I am so lucky to beable to do it with all my great teams - the guys on How to Look Good Naked andFashion Fix, Errol's team in Belgravia and my lovely girls in Somerset.

 My next round of awards is the Most Wanted award - I am upfor Hair Trend, with Errol, and I am up for the Entrepreneur category in the ItList, a brand new award exclusively for hairdressers aged 30 and under. But atthe moment I am just happy, glorying in my win!
