Issey miyake spring/summer 2015: get the hair look Issey Miyake Spring/Summer 2015: Get the Hair Look Eugene Souleiman and the Wella Professionals team were inspired by cloud formations to create an otherworldly look for Issey Miyake Spring/Summer 2015. The show: Issey Miyake Spring/Summer 2015 The hair team: Eugene Souleiman, Wella Professionals global creative director of care and styling The look: A faux bob shape with a veil of loose hair The inspiration: Cloud formations in the fabrics of the collection. "I wanted the look to have a tension between the graphic shape of the top compared to the roll section at the back, which is light and appears to float," explains Eugene. "The floating veil over the faces of the models moves as they walk, which adds to this feeling of otherworldliness. This hair look has a certain fluidity that complements the collection." The key product: Wella Professionals Ocean Spritz Get the Look 1. Wash and condition the hair using Wella Professionals Brilliance Shampoo and Conditioner. 2. Blow-dry the hair using Wella Professionals Perfect Setting to give the hair some grip. 3. Next, divide the hair into a centre parting. Starting with the back, section the lower third of the hair. 4. Spray Wella Professionals Super Set Hairspray liberally at the roots and brush the hair flat to the head. Spray and blend the hairspray down the lengths of the hair so the flat finish at the roots graduates through the length of the hair. Using a hairspray instead of a gel creates a slick effect, but as hairspray dries quicker than gel it’s the perfect product for the backstage environment. 5. Repeat this on the next two sections of hair until you reach the crown and you have a tight, sleek silhouette around the top of the head. 6. Repeat the process on the side sections of the head, leaving a thin perimeter of hair at hair line for a wispy veil effect. 7. Move to the back of the hair and lightly spray with Wella Professionals Ocean Spritz to create a dry texture. 8. Use a hairnet to hold the top section flat whilst you create texture. Take a bristle brush and softly back brush the lengths of the hair. 9. Tie black elastic two thirds down the length of the hair and then tuck the end into the elastic and secure it underneath the ponytail. 10. Fold the hair under again and sew the hair into place using black elastic to create a rolled bob shape. 11. Tease out pieces of hair at the back until you have a light wispy finish.
