Introducing the event by sweet squared

Leeds based, award-winning hair and beauty distributor, Sweet Squared, is bringing together hair, nails and beauty to create one of the biggest events in the industry, THE EVENT.
THE EVENT will be an opportunity to learn, network and party all under one roof, whilst celebrating the incredible industry.
The fifth instalment of the show will take place Sunday 21 May – Monday 22 May at state-of-the-art venue The Vox, Birmingham.
Packed with innovation, inspiration and lots of surprises along the way, there will be something for everyone – whether you are a hair professional eager to hear about future industry trends, a nail tech looking for hands-on training from industry experts or a beauty therapist wanting exclusive access to the latest innovations.
Think workshops, demos and hands-on experience. This is an opportunity to focus on you and choose exactly what you want to learn. Plus, don’t miss some very familiar faces within the keynote speakers who will be covering trends, business advice, and so much more.
What’s more, Global Art Director of Hair at KEVIN.MURPHY, James Nicholson, has been announced as the first on stage talent at THE EVENT.
James specialises in strong and dramatic shapes and natural framing textures. Holding a unique skill set, James is active on global runways, with his work being seen on stage, in print, and digital media, countless times.
With editorial work a major focus, cementing the fashion sensibilities of the KEVIN.MURPHY brand, James has contributed consistently to education, developing looks for shows, shoots and collections, and bringing inspiration and new ideas whilst communicating them clearly and with purpose. James’ appearance at THE EVENT will be a chance to hear and experience James’ extensive knowledge of hair and bringing a vision to life.
James will also be running ART.LAB on Monday 22 May, a paid-for session in which professionals will be able to master bespoke colour formulation. The class will provide an advanced technical understanding of the COLOR.ME formulation, technology and multifaced product use. As well as teaching artists how to create their own colour book, to implement their own work.
THE EVENT will start at 5pm on Sunday 21 May and will end at 5pm on Monday 22 May at the Vox, Birmingham.
Tickets are available for £125 each, or £500 for a bundle of five.
