Supermodel Kate Moss has dyed her blonde tresses a bright pink for her latest appearance in the Marc Jacobs campaign. Stepping out with long pink hair, Kate brings the hue back into the limelight after first wearing the shade earlier in her career.

Pulp Riot Artist, Loretta Marie Flanagan says pink hair has always held a special place in her heart. “I’m in love with Kate’s revival of her classic 90s pink. It is a natural transition I think with the fashion of the 90s leading front of fashion trends just now and is the perfect colour to take us into the new year.

“There is always a pink hair trend kicking around for the fashion world somewhere because it’s so versatile, it can be pastelised and muted, it can be bright and impactful, or it can be rich and sultry. The best thing about it is there is a shade to flatter every person and skin tone. It also has the best fade out of any creative shade and the Pulp Riot Semis are easily reversible with the use of Blank Canvas if a client changes their mind.”

Kate isn’t a stranger to the shad, having first worn it in an iconic photo shoot by Juergen Teller in 1998, but this time it’s brighter and flatters her skin tone. Loretta says: “To achieve Kate’s shade, I would utilise one of the unsung heroes of Pulp Riot Semi Permanent shades, Fireball. It is a pinky-based red and gives an excellent kick to any pink. I would start by mixing 60g of Blush with 10g of Cupid and add in a cheeky 5g of Fireball to get that kick. You can then play about with the shade by adjusting your formula from there to suit your client, always swatching as you go.”
