Interiors: the head hunter

Published 20th Aug 2007 by sophieh
When Leslie and Gary Hunter took over their mother Frances's salon, Frances Hunter Hair and Beauty in Sterling, they decided the time was right to move to larger premises. After choosing the site - a Victorian mews that had previously been home to an undertakers - it took six months of hard graft and a hefty £165,000 price tag to turn the building into the modern but friendly salon they had visualised."The most important objective was maintaining the character of our family-run business while moving it into the next generation," says Gary.
