I can't wait to get back to cutting - louis

As predicted, the salon is a busier, buzzier place to be this week, which is quite a relief. I don't know what it is, but when it is really quiet you get a little lethargic and things become a bit of a chore.
Now that everyone is back, it feels like a new start and I'm really excited about the months ahead when we build up to the hectic Christmas period.
This last couple of weeks, we've had a mixture of clients coming in: those coming back after their summer holidays, older kids coming in for a trendier look before they go back to school, university students on their summer holidays and Reading Festival goers. One girl from the Festival came in and had the coolest colours done by Becky, one of our colour technicians. She had her hair dyed a browny-purple colour with a blonde streak through the front.
While I am big fan of the classic long blonde hair look - Jordan is my absolute idol! - I also love wild, striking, funky looks and this certainly fitted into that category. I just wish I'd taken a photo to share it with you.
Next Monday, is back to the classroom day for me.
I'm looking forward to getting a pair of scissors in my hand and cutting again as that is something I haven't done at all this summer.
I'm sure it will be pretty weird to get back to it, but I feel confident that I haven't forgotten too much. If anything all the watching and learning about things like the new colours we have had in during the summer will have helped the learning process.
As I mentioned a few weeks ago, we signed off everything we have done so far at the end of term; so we'll be starting a new topic. I'll let you know what it is next week when I know a little more...
