Have you ever wondered why there is a lack of presence on the high street for Father's Day compared to Mother's Day and other big celebrations? One positive is that it leaves a gap wide open for your salon business to maximise this time of year with gift certificates, special services and events, as well as retail gifts for Father's Day presents.
Zamaine Ismail, founder of West and Hunter, shares his top tried-and-tested ways to attract clients around this time of year. And in case you needed a reminder, Father's Day is Sunday 16 June!
Dedicated Father and Son Offers
Why not showcase special offers on shop fronts and social media displaying your Father's Day offers, and open it up to sons too? You never know, they may become future clients. Or they may be existing clients who are looking for a Father's Day gift that isn't a pair of socks... If you're a unisex salon, make it a family day out and include any female members of the family too.
Gift Certificates, Vouchers and Gift Cards
Have something specifically catered to partners and children, suggesting they treat the father figure in their lives to a cut, shave or grooming session.
Promotion of Retail Gifts
Daughters, wives and sons might be struggling to find gifts this time of year, so make sure your Father's Day gifts are visible to them. Whether that's through Google Ads, social promotion or good old fashioned window signage, make your business and its retail shelf their first port of call.
Local Collabs
Partner up with more male-orientated businesses in the area like pubs, sports bars, clothing stores and gyms. Why not create a Father's Day whole day package that includes a haircut, shave followed by a meal out? It's something we do at West and Hunter and we've seen great success with it.
