Stylist from HOB Salons, Camden, recently opened their doors to the Fellowship for British Hairdressing ClubStar team for an inspiring all-day workshop.
Darren Bain, Faye Turner and Ian Rotman from the HOB Creative Team gave the young stylists an insight into how they work, with an experimental day of vibrant colours and edgy styling.
Presenting eight looks in total, the HOB collective showcased their knowledge and creativity in a day that was left the ClubStar inspired for their own practical session.
Amy Flower, a stylist from The Industry Salon said: "The workshop with HOB was great - both going back to doing classic shapes and learning some new techniques. I will definitely be using what we’ve learnt today in the salon. Thanks to HOB for a great day of learning!"
Ian Rotman, HOB education team member said;: "After hosting a demonstration evening for ClubStar a couple of months ago, we were very excited about holding our own workshop with them. We put our heads together and decided it would be more beneficial to keep the day as real as possible. It is all very well to do the creative, crazy haircuts but we wanted to make it more salon-friendly so we decided to break it down to the more classic shapes.
"We showcased a bob, a gents cut and the two longer looks, all using slightly different approaches. We encouraged the stylists to think outside the box, going through how to use your consultation to get the most out of your client. There was some great work was done and the feedback from the day was really positive and made it all worthwhile. Everyone seemed to leave on a high and eager to go back to their salons to try out what they had learnt which is great!"
