We are excited to announce the Session Hairdresser of the Year 2026 Nominees for HJ’s British Hairdressing Awards, sponsored by Schwarzkopf Professional.

One of the most hotly contested categories at HJ’s British Hairdressing Awards, sponsored by Schwarzkopf Professional, Session Hairdresser of the Year recognises the creative vision and technical skill of hairdressers working outside of a salon environment.

Experts including members of British Hairdressing Awards Hall of Fame - those who have won the same category on three occasions - along with international beauty press were invited to nominate. 

Nominees must now submit eight of their favourite images from the last year. Their portfolio should include a variety of work, showcasing the breadth of the stylist’s creative and technical skills.

Not entered the specialist or regional categories yet? Entries are open for the British Hairdressing Awards 2026, sponsored by Schwarzkopf Professional, so to be in with a chance of becoming a winner of your region or specialist category, enter now as entries close Friday 26 June at 5pm.
