It is with great sadness and disbelief that I am writing this tribute to a friend and colleague, Moira Paulusz.
Many of you will have known Moira for the many years that she dedicated to HJ as its deputy editor, pioneering the magazine's editorial content and helping to raise the profile of some of this industry's brightest stars - long before they were household names; before moving on to HJ's sister title, Health & Beauty Salon.
I worked alongside Moira for 24 years before she left to travel the world in 2009 but soon after leaving, cancer was diagnosed and Moira lost her brave battle on the 3rd June.
A stickler for grammar and ensuring the detail was absolutely correct, Moira was a phenomenal journalist and her dedication, vision, loyalty and creativity ensured HJ was always first with the fashion, news and views that shaped this industry.
She loved her work and gave her time freely to encourage and mentor younger team members; not only sharing her immense industry knowledge but her skills as a wordsmith. A complete perfectionist, Moira loved the industries that she devoted her professional life to and could always be found with an encouraging word and a glass of champagne as she enjoyed the finer things that this world had to offer.
Moi will be missed by everyone who worked with her here at Reed Business Information and those who grew up with her in the hairdressing and beauty industries.
