Hji hearts . . . red carpet hair

Some trends become the look of the night which then filter down to the general public, becoming the party looks of the season. The easier to copy the look, the better.
A great example of a copied look is the loosly pinned updo's from the Oscars in 2009. Alison Dace, Saks Shows Director looks at how the style took hold.

"This loose hair-up style from 2009 is a real winner because of its D.I.Y feel and flattering volume. It's a modern dropped-out wave that is also an up-to-date throw back from the 30s. We all secretly want glamour in our lives," she says.
The Golden Globes were no exception this year, with gorgeous, cascading lengths proving to be popular along with slightly more conservative updos. Says Alison: "The Golden Globes is one of the most glamorous events on the planet.
"Celebrities take days, weeks, even months to prepare for it, so it's no wonder we all look to it for the hottest new trends."
It will be interesting to see if wavy lengths are the red carpet look of the year or if an interesting updo will again prove to be popular. It's also great to see if stars attending music awards will opt glam or grungy styles for 2010.
