It can be tough to make the transition from girl band teeny bopper to grown up and glamorous.

But Liz McLarnon has just achieved a gorgeous mature look with her new, neat bob.

After experimenting with some dubious WAG-like waves over the past couple of years. Liz looked a million dollars at the recent Stephen Gately Tribute Concert.

Wearing a demure, one-shouldered gown, Liz looked fantastic with her side-swept fringe and bob combo which gives more than a hint of elegance to her overall look.

Along with Dannii Minogue, Liz has learnt that a well cut bob can freshen up a girl's image and the timeless style banishes any hint of trashiness.

Gary Taylor of Edward and Co, Brighouse, Yorkshire loves her new look."Liz's bob flatters her heart shaped face perfectly as she has opted for layers and a sweeping fringe to avoid hard lines around the chin area," he says.

Your only have to look at the style icons such American Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour and top designer Mary Quant, who adopted the bob as their staple look, to know that the style has the highest seal of approval.

"The colour is fabulous too... although I'd suggest adding some darker hues to accentuate the texture of her hair even more. She looks great with this new style!"

It will be interesting to see if any more celebrities convert to bobs over the coming months. So far, it seems that you can't go wrong with a classic well-cut bob and Liz certainly looks sensational.
