Hji hearts ... katy perry's make-under

We're used to seeing Katy Perry dressed up to the nines, wearing glamour waves, cute retro dresses and floral hair clips.

But Saturday's NRJ Music Awards saw a change in Katy's style. 

The 'I kissed a  girl' popster  stepped out wearing her hair straight and shiny with a fringe, teamed with a Bianca Jagger-inspired sharp, white suit.

Not only did Katy win the award for Best International Album, she won a few extra fashion fans with this new, sophisticated but sassy style.

Katy's longer length bob is perfectly timed with the 100 year anniversary of the 'do and the choppy fringe frames her pretty features.

Although the overall look is clean and chic, she's still wearing her trademark red lippy so manages to stay true to her colourful personality.

With so many up-and-coming girl singers going for the 1950's hairstyles that stars like Katy and Amy Winehouse have pioneered, it makes sense for her to surprise us with a make-under and she wears it so well.

Could it be that Katy Perry is growing up? Hopefully not, but she rocks this new groomed look.
