Retro styling continues to be a trend into Autumn/Winter 2013, with pin-up girl rolls, finger waves and quiffs all making their mark on the catwalk.

We love Diane Kruger's take on the trend, which combines a classic roll with wavy lengths and a bombshell blonde shade.

Jake Unger of HOB Salons - and member of the 2013 FAME Team - gives his verdict on the look:

"I think the concept of this look is good and I love the 1940s feel, but for me this is a classic case of the hairstyle not being tailored to the client and a prime example of being led by what is in fashion as opposed to what suits the individual. To get the wow factor, I think we are influenced by three things; suitability, execution and fashion.

"However, I think that with this particular look, Diane lacks the first element - which is the most important! But this throwback retro style can look amazing with slightly more definition and the rolls shaped to look slightly more structured.

"A little bit of attention to Diane's colour could also reduce the years this look has added and give a more glam feel to the overall do.'
