Hji hearts . . . alice dellal's undercut
Alice Dellal isn't everyone's cup of tea but her punky meets thrash metal style is the toast of fashion land.
Not seen since the early nineties, she's also giving undercuts a fashion moment.
Her dominance on the catwalk at London Fashion Week has meant that a number of copycat styles have come along, she's too rocking for most fashionistas who copy her style in subtle way.
Recent fashion campaigns, who want to a slice of Alice's style, have pulled back the sides of the models hair, not quite prepared to go the whole hog with the genuine undercut.
When she isn't hanging out with Pixie Geldoff and Daisy Lowe, the society girl (yes really) has been sporting some of this seasons most shocking outfits on the catwalk. One highlight was when she whipped off a cape and revealed that she was only wearing red rubber knickers
and a spiky collar.
She doesn't just do shock value and has been seen gracing the catwalk in gorgeous gowns which she lends an Alice 'edge' to.
Robert Masciave from Metropolis Hairdressing loves Alice's cut. " Alice's hair style is very rebellious yet courageous. Long hair usually symbolises femininity but Alice smashes that concept to pieces with her dynamic version," he says.
She often wears classic denims with heavy metal patches, gutter metal T's and ripped tights. We love her new dark brunette hair colour but draw the line at the bizarre hair scrunchie that she sometimes sports in a pineapple style!
It's not just Alice's cut that has got hairdressers talking, as Neville Ramsay, Ramsay and Johnson explains;
"I love Alice's deep brown chestnut tone. It looks very rich and makes hair looks thick and lustrous. Personally, I'd keep the base colour a deep rich brown and place shades of cinder toffee and cinnamon underneath so that the lighter tones will peek through."
Most the time she does get it right and although she's not to everyone's taste, Alice is one of the most imitated style queens of the moment.
