HJ Reports: Keune Family Manifest

The first Keune Family Manifest brought global brand ambassadors, new trends and a spectacular show to Dubrovnik, Croatia. Keep scrolling to see some images from the event!

On Saturday 14 September, HJ travelled to Dubrovnik, Croatia, for the first ever Keune Family Manifest that brought together Keune’s top brand ambassadors, salons and hairstylists, led by George Keune, owner and president, and Eelco Keune, CEO of Keune. Over the three days, attendees had the opportunity to participate in activities such as a pool party, BBQ party, sunrise yoga, and lunch in Dubrovnik Old Town.

On Sunday 15 September, HJ was introduced to Keune Style – a new line of professional hairstyling products which combines high-performance ingredients, ethical formulation, and the latest scientific achievements – during a small gathering where we got to see the products up close and personal. The new product range adds volume, protects, defines, smooths and adds texture to hair, with all products suitable for layering and mixing. The new Keune Style line ensures visible hair transformation using technology like Bond Fuser, which offers heat protection up to 230 degrees, and prebiotics that contribute to scalp health.

Doing the right things the right way has always been in our DNA. That’s exactly how our new Keune Style collection is.”

Next, we participated in a small round table where topics such as inspiring the next generation, the impact of AI on the industry, sustainability, and industry events were discussed before Keune announced a special collaboration with The Wig Academy and Eugene Souleiman. They explained that Eugene will be using the new Style range for an 11-chapter masterclass.

Elsewhere, a masterclass was held for attending hairdressers, where Mark van Westerop and the Kanso Academy introduced the new Keune Style product line and Karl De Witte gave a business lecture.

On Sunday evening, we headed to a glamorous dinner and show at the Revelin Fortress and club – one of the top 100 clubs in the world. The dress code for the evening? Show your best style.

Guests enjoyed music from a string ensemble, dynamic dance group performances, an enchanting aerial silk dance, and were captivated in a stunning display of hair artistry from Keune Global Ambassadors Boris Obreški, Luke Benson, and Mark van Westerop. The focus was on styling and the ambassadors showcased their skills with modern, trendy and futuristic looks that pushed the boundaries of hairstyling. Croatian designer Juraj Zigman, known for dressing many famous stars, and the Croatian designer duo Klisab, created special outfits for more than 35 models, complementing and highlighting the spectacular hairstyling we saw take to the stage. To end a weekend full of inspiration, creativity and artistry, drinks began flowing and attendees danced the night away.
