Hj editor's collection of the week: r+co collective

In a world of photoshopped images, the latest collection by American hairdressers Garren, Howard McLaren and Thom Priano for R+Co features real people, shot on polaroid using their own clothes so their personalities shone through. The collection features wearable, everyday styles with minimal styling and product use, but with a fashion twist - inspiration from the military for his Men on Leave look, and influences from the 1960s for the undercut Studio  54 style. "We were inspired by by Warhol's Polaroids and the flaws and imperfections they encompass. They are still so amazing and fresh even after 30 years because they rely on the character to draw you in," explains Howard. [hji-gallery-legacy]
