Headmasters celebrated its 30th anniversary with a sparkling award ceremony attended by more than 1,000 of its talented hairdressers from across the country.
Hosted by the lively Louie Spence, the awards took place at London's Battersea Evolution which had been transformed for the evening into a Parisian-style decadent drinking den complete with cancan dancers and candelabra chandeliers.
Following an all-singing, all-dancing welcome from Louie it was over to Headmasters managing director, John Sanders, to recap the successes of the last year.
"As we celebrate our 30th anniversary, we look back on another record-breaking year for Headmasters," said John. "We had over 600,000 client visits and are planning to open five new salons in 2012."
"Despite economic doom and gloom, we're still expanding which is great news for all of us. We started 30 years ago in Wimbledon with just three staff and that very same salon broke our records this Christmas, taking over £50,000 in December."
"Thank you for the huge part you've played in our growth - you deserve all of the credit tonight."
John also revealed that Headmasters were expanding into Europe in 2012, having signed a deal with Raise - the biggest salon group in Scandinavia.
With an initial nine salons in Norway, the group are planning to expand to 40 more throughout Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland.
Then it was over to Louie to kick off the awards presentations, with honourable mentions for Gillian Osborne of the Weybridge salon for 25 years of service and a charity award for the Surbiton salon who raised over £2,000 for HAIRraisers in 2011 - the largest contribution to the company's total of £43,000.
