Hairstyle trends on day two at london fashion week
On day two at London Fashion Week Spring/Summer 09, TONI&GUY team styled hair to complement the collections of Qasimi, Harriet's Muse, Wildlife Works and Olanic.
Crimping and curls were the order of the day as the team experimented with textures and shapes to complement the couture clothing.
London Fashion Week Day One - Catwalk hairstyles
Monday 15th September
Qasimi
Floor sweeping couture dresses in the finest of fabrics were presented next to instantly wearable beautifully cut and tailored garments for both men and women. Accessories such as warrior like head pieces, and knee length riding boots completed the androgynous yet graceful collection.

Girls: Powerful high shine fierce braided ponytails, with very clean partings and a scorpion sting tail.
Boys: Immaculate groomed hairlines, low side partings and a reflective gloss finish.

A clean parting was created on either the side or centre of the head. Two braids were then created which went back all the way into an extended ponytail and sat beneath the crown. Perspex piping was threaded through the braids and into a fish plait in order to make it stand off the head.

I love Lucy- 1940s to early 1950s. Multi-monochrome toned ribbon threaded through cascading curls for a glamorous, feminine and evocative feel that shouts of Hollywood's golden era.

Hair was placed in a high ponytail and tonged to create a tight curl that was then combed out using a pintail comb. The curls were pinned into coils on top of the head and ribbon was then threaded through them.

Wildlife Works
A neutral palette of grey blues, pastel yellow and milky nudes, teamed with floaty, natural materials and layers of fabric, for an elegant yet understated appeal.

The hair was crimped in small sections. A section was taken at the front of the head, combed back and placed in a ponytail below the crown, helping to achieve a tribal feel. An extra section below this was pinned using needle and thread for more spearation.

Taking inspiration from the image of a quirky weather girl - the unpredictability of the British weather, clashing prints and brights mixed with muted tones.
