Here, we look back at some of the best-loved shoots we've published in HJ recently - all inspired by the stars of the silverscreen.

Andrew Barton
"This collection is all about sexy, seductive styling. I was inspired by iconic starlets, retro Hollywood glamour and Studio 54.
"It's a collection of varied techniques and looks that ooze sensuality and sophistication."

AJ Blackadder
"As we move forward in fashion, hair, music and film, we return to the past for inspiration.
"Influenced by the stars of film noir, I worked with key components of shadow and light. The looks have been brought up-to-date with modern twists and technicolour, while styling stays true to the period."

Joey Scandizzo
"Drawing inspiration from European summers, my latest collection is a perfect convergence of old Hollywood glamour with modern beauty.
"My vision was to design sexy, romantic images with beautiful, desirable girls bathing in the sun. With an overall high-fashion look and feel, the images were finished with a grainy texture to embrace a glamorous vintage feel.
"The end result is a set of timeless images that transcend trends and will hold their appeal for many seasons."

Freda Rossidis
"My Factory Girls collection was inspired by the iconic women of the 1960s - Brigitte Bardot, Edie Sedgwick and Twiggy.
"It's all about beautiful, timeless, strong and sexy looks that work for today's woman."

"This collection was inspired by Hollywood sirens from a vintage age with a nod to the early 1920s through to the 1950s.
"I wanted to recreate hair that embraced modernity but which told a story of beautiful bygone times - pure glamour and femmes fatales.
"Stars such as Theda Bara, Louise Brooks, Greta Garbo, Rita Hayworth and Elizabeth Taylor were just several of the iconic actresses that I endeavoured to pay tribute to, allowing us the opportunity to return to more classic styling techniques, to create and to bring up-to-date beautiful hair shapes."
