Hairdressers needed for liverpool's very big catwalk

Hairdressers are being called on to help with Liverpool's Very Big Catwalk; the biggest fashion show that the UK has ever seen! 5,000 models will be strutting down the runway as part of the event, which attempts to smash the Guinness World Record for the most models on a catwalk. Hosted in association with Very.co.uk, the event will also celebrate the diversity of Liverpool's residents. And with so many models to prep, the search is now on for 100 hairdressers to help get everyone runway-ready. Hairdressers of every level are invited to take part, with a whole variety of looks needed for the models; from vintage updos to modern men's looks. Already confirmed to help out backstage are teams from Andrew Collinge, Barbara Daley, Toni & Guy and The Merseyside Hairdressing Forum. The catwalk show will take place on Saturday 4th July at Pier Head in Liverpool as part of the Transatlantic 175 weekend, which marks the 175th anniversary of Transatlantic travel and the historic Transatlantic links between fashion capital New York and Liverpool. Fashion guru Wayne Hemingway is heading up the festival and says: "We knew the people of Liverpool would rise to the challenge and we have thousands of them all ready to take their position on our record-breaking runway. Now we need you, the great and the good of the hair industry to help make them look and feel fantastic as they prepare to strut their stuff down the catwalk."
