Hair trends at the golden globes 2013: quiffs

Providing a twist on red carpet volume, quiffs are an edgier alternative to the classic red carpet updo.

Warren Holmes, International Creative Director at Nicky Clarke Salons gives his verdict on quiffs at the 2013 Golden Globes.

"Eva's hair-up works well with her dress. With a high neckline and slashed panel she needed to have the hair off her face. It is difficult to see what it happening with the detail in her hair but the quiff opens up her face."

"Julianne made a statement with her dress so the hair had to be more of a secondary feature. She obviously took inspiration from her character in Rock of Ages and brought this to the red carpet. A good, edgier look for the Golden Globes."
