Updos provide the ultimate in red-carpet sophistication - not even the rain could put a dampener on these stars' styles at the 2013 BAFTAs in London.
We asked HJ's London Hairdresser of the Year, Tina Farey of Rush Hair for her verdict.
Amy Adams
"I think this is a bit old fashioned and ages Amy. Her lace dress is super sexy and I would gone for a sleek, lose wave which was pulled over to one side to show off the earring and detail at the back."

Laura Bailey
"This is a really pretty style for the red carpet and one that can be translated to the salon. Laura clearly had extensions added in to the ponytail for added volume and length. The understated look balances out the red dress and green earrings."

Marion Cotillard
"Marion rocks the French chic look and here her usual look is mixed up with a nineties siren style. She has a good face shape and features and the faux bob with a twist compliments the simple necklines and accessories."

Paloma Faith
"This would be too much for anyone else to carry off but Paloma gets away with it. Her hair is one of the elements that define her and her style."
