Less a trend and more of a style statement, short hair is having something of a moment on the red carpet - spearheaded, of course, by Anne Hathaway. Although her daring crop was for her role in Les Mis, it's become one of the most talked-about celebrity cuts of recent months - sparking a host of copycat cuts.
And although not every celebrity on the red carpet at the 19th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards is as daring as Anne, there were still a few short-and-sweet styles to inspire.
We asked Warren Holmes, international creative director of Nicky Clarke, for his verdict.

Anne Hathaway
"Anne is working a pageboy crop with a quiff to create a more masculine edge. Crops can be versatile and her she has styled it to reflect her status as an actress, one that is taking on more powerful and sophisticated roles."

Freida Pinto
"Freida's hair has been pulled back from her shoulders so as not to draw attention away from the cowl neckline and bold use of colour in the dress.
"We are used to seeing her with long hair but this gives a more sophisticated, grown up appeal which again could reflect where she see's herself as an actress."
