Guess who did amanda gorman's hair for the vogue us cover?

Inauguration poet Amanda Gorman graced the cover of US Vogue looking gorgeous in Senegalese braids – but there's an interesting story behind her hair which involves her mum.
Gorman's Vogue spread, which was shot by Annie Leibovitz, features the writer and activist in a series of garments designed by Virgil Abloh.
Amanda is know for her Afro hair statements – she shot to internet fame after sporting a bright red Prada headband with natural hair at the inauguration of US president Joe Biden.

For her Vogue cover, make-up artist Raisa Flowers was the hands behind Amanda's fresh, glowy skin look, and hair stylist Lacy Redway styled Gorman's hair into shoulder-length Senegalese twists, which she pinned into a half-up style. Inside the May issue a spread also features one of Gorman's signature statement hairpieces.
Gorman celebrated the new cover on Instagram and thanked her Vogue glam team — which included her mum, who assisted Lacy behind the scenes. "Special thanks to my mum who helped with hair on-set," Amanda said in her caption.
